  Don Thompson, President, MicroSphere Computers

President since the Company was founded in 1983, Don first moved to Bend in 1957.  After several years away, he brought his family back to Bend and started MicroSphere, Inc.   Using skills from completing his junior year of engineering and his physics background, Don has a unique perspective for solving complicated computer problems.  

"I believe the computer is a tool to allow the user to be more productive and efficient.  What we have to do at MicroSphere to accomplish that goal is different with every client."  

Education:   Bachelor of Physics, BS University of Oregon  1971

                     Oregon Secondary teachers certificate University of Oregon

                      3 years civil engineering study @ Portland State University

                      Real Estate Principal Broker since 1983

Civic and Public Service:   

                       Past State Director of United Way of Oregon

                       Past President of Multiple Listing Service

                       Member of Bend Chamber of Commerce since 1983

Computer Qualifications: 

                        Network Certified by Novell in 1985.

                        Nationally published author of software programs

                        Installed over 500 networks in Central Oregon including Schools, Banks, Utilities, Insurance Companies, Real Estate Companies, Attorney firms, CPA's, and many other types of businesses.

Don has designed, built and sold over 20,000 computer systems since 1985.  Computers have been sold and shipped to US Virgin Islands, Japan, Australia and the entire United States.
